Middlesex was one of the 39 historical counties of England. It included the City of London, which was self-governing from the thirteenth century.

With this in mind it's an excellent place to visit if you want to experence the bright lights of the Big Smoke (London) but also get in a few quality rounds of golf at courses such as Haste Hill (pictured) and Northwood.
